Sixty? Impossible. No one could have predicted all this 60 years ago.

To be fair, this didn’t happen before Trump. I don’t think they could ever have seen the extent of bullshit we’re going through right now.

I can’t believe we in a place where that needs to be said.

First of all getting rid of the phone and internet will not remove what is already there. If I died right now all the data is still going to be there and not erased on account of me being dead.
I have been easing into reducing my online signature as much as possible over the past few years. It is far from perfect, I know. That is also the stuff going forward and does not handle what is already past.
Like I still watch videos on YouTube mostly, and I still have a compromised Gmail account (compromised in that no matter what I do someone or someones have been using it to sign up for shit that clearly isn’t mine). And while I no longer use my real for social media, and my last known usage of Facebook was from last summer (and I greatly diminished what I was doing over a few years at that point). None of this removes what data brokers already have.

Would shit like incogni or delete me help in countering this somewhat?

I read the article. He not only singlehandedly rehabilitated his ailing image (he was seen as a washed up relic by that point) but the writing and the entire crew did their best to make him look like a competent leader and manager and ‘America’s boss’.

And to just stoke Elon’s ego in letting him have his own fake agency and show people that they can fuck with the economy and suffer jo consequences whatsoever.

What the hell does Israel want in Somalia? I never heard that before.

Flock most certainly, I have no information on the palantir app.

I grew up in the Middle East and immigrated to Canada. The problems of the US were not 100% obvious to me from there.

And that is. How he got on the apprentice is because when they were looking for successful CEOs to star in the show they couldn’t find them. Because CEOs that are good at their jobs are generally too busy running their companies to be on some dumb reality show. Trump? He basically had an open schedule. All his time was devoted to the show. He didn’t have much else going on at the time.

What is incredible is that he has been doing and saying heinous shit his whole life and his history of business failure was always still cast as success for some reason.
Like he has been raping people his whole life, and he probably personally threw that baby in lake Michigan, things that are punishable by life in prison or the death penalty in some places. Yet he evaded everything.
Even in the era he was doing this, the coked up 80s, lots of people went to jail for fraud and crap and the shit he was doing. The fact that such a high profile person like him evaded it still is just incredible.

Same here. In just 10 years the world went to hell in ways I could not see possible.

You reminded me. I need to put that new 14TB hard drive to good use and close my other accounts.

Call me old, but save for my phone, I don’t have any ‘smart’ anything. My desktop is running linux mint and my webcam is more than 12 or 13 years old and it is unplugged when not in use. I am doing just fine, thank you. My phone is probably listening to me, but all it hears is youtube political commentary videos against Trump.
The ads I get are super generic and talking about shit I REALLY don’t care about or apply to me, so I think that I am doing fine when it comes to ad avoidance.

I like being sober at my job.

You forgot most openly corrupt.

Can’t I just take one for the team and do it one weekend booze binge at a time?
I got 64gb of DDR5 ram. I got my computer from Dell and maxed out all what was available on their option. I have zero regrets.
