I’ll check it out, thanks! Hadn’t seen that one in my searches.

Any recommendations on a window manager in Linux that behaves the same as FancyZones in Windows?
It’s like…the one thing (other than visual studio and teams) that I can’t seem to find a solid alternative for. I’ve tried a number of things I found online but they aren’t the same, they’re more like tiling systems.
TIL she’s 83, holy crap.
Same. When it was announced I was literally like, “fuuuuuck”. But I’ve since change my tune and legit have a modicum of hope again.
I would donate to this cause.
I agree.
I also wish Deloitte would stop winning contracts to build their shitty, cobbled together tech solutions for pennies (to the contractors) on the dollar. Their track record for such activity is actually kinda garbage in the industry.
FF and uBlock working for me
Any good books or other articles on this? I’d be legitimately interested.
The more money I make or the better off I am, I actually just end up feeling more guilty and giving more away. Frankly, one only needs so much, after that if you can improve the quality of life of those around you it makes everything better.
My friend’s neighbor rage moved to Texas because he was tired of Oregon politics.
If Texas goes blue I am totally sending them a laughing emoji.
Can someone explain to me how standup specials on Netflix make money?
I’m not poo-pooing them, there are many I like, but unlike TV shows with product placements and such - I feel like the revenue streams for standup specials are less and can only nab so many subscriptions. Is it just about maintaining existing subs?
I was back at work (at a computer) the next day. Recovery was fairly simple. I don’t recall any major meds being needed and I wasn’t in pain.
Catheter ablation team unite! 👏
That would make a lot of us “behead the king” angry, I hope.
He has no idea what anything is like.
Why you being so weird?
Call me crazy, but I loved mine (near the end). No crease, could still multitask fine. The fact it folded shut kept me from opening and doom scrolling as much. Could throw a video on one screen and “tent” the phone easily.
But yeah, the software took awhile to get even “okay” out the gate and that really hurt the user experience. I felt I was always wrestling with mine over something for the first 6mos even.
I haven’t visited that sub in years, mostly because it made me feel dumber.
But those comments are in weird contrast to what I used to see. I wonder if the veil is finally falling…that’d be wild.
I get that, FancyZones let’s you use keyboard shortcuts to move windows into custom configured zones. Typically I split my screen into a 2 up on the left, single in the middle, and 2 up on the right and I can move apps into those zones with just the arrow keys.
The annoying part of any current Linux solution for me is I have to use the mouse and resize a window and move it into what would normally be a zone. I’d prefer to be able to never use a mouse and be able to move a window with shortcut keys into a predefined zone and size.
