Nobody I know is asking for lax immigration policies. We want more judges to process the cases in a timely manner. We want migrants to be treated humanely during that process - given shelter, care, and not separated from their children. We want border control to have the resources necessary to deter unauthorized entry, and ensure authorized entry is available to those who need it.
These are not radical desires, it’s about fixing the completely overwhelmed systems already in place. It should not take years to determine if someone was qualified to enter.
Or, we can go with trump’s approach of denying everyone entry by default, detaining and separating their families, and sorting out the details never.
There’s plenty of reasons to hate on the verge, but Nilay Patel is an undeniable powerhouse. Really any feature he writes are worth a read.
Edit: this one is particularly special. What a well articulated expression of qualities modern republicans are lacking.
I was thinking like Herman Cain, when they used his likeness and account to promote party messaging after his death, but this works too.
Lol trump campaign tweets like “uh that guy wasn’t with us”
Ohhh that clears it right up, then.
I can 100% imagine him running for as long as he has a pulse. And even then, it wouldn’t entirely surprise me if he didn’t have a pulse and republicans used a deep fake to keep him campaigning. He’s basically all they have at this point.
Hey look, Bernie right on it. Again.

Not sure how you interpreted that, I’m hoping the entire allegation never happened. What I’m reading in the article is reputable accounts saying “Dems have something big to release”, and the article correlating those posts with other non-reputable accounts implying it’s video of trump groping a minor.
This is a fair point, and I agree that could be the strategy. Really I just hope it didn’t happen, and there’s no one victimized, and never something that could be recorded.
Nah, this doesn’t pass my smell test. If anything of this magnitude existed, it would be published before early voting started. But deepfakes, and AI are coming, well they’re here… but uhh that’s not real. So that’s not really a story.
Nailed it. They know they have a leading chip in these designs now, the market is expanding, and whatever licensing fee was negotiated in the past needs to be revisited.
Putting in the hours cancelling interviews and wandering aimlessly at rallies, heh
It’s hard to argue against “ain’t broke why fix”, and frankly, I’m surprised your install has lasted so long without going sideways heh. If you avoid the AUR that’s probably helped. And I actually do believe manjaro has improved in the last year or two - it’s just difficult to recommend while endeavour and archinstall exist.
Manjaro as a project is amateur hour, over and over again. Their practice of holding back packages is bad, causing many version conflict problems. Their software DDOSing repos is bad, they can try to pass the blame to pamac, but they are the ones shipping it. Their repeated inability to keep certificates updated is bad.
EndeavourOS should be recommended over Manjaro every time.
How do you know who didn’t vote?
We formed a Super PAC and bought the personal voting records of every American citizen from a data broker we found on the internet. It’s pretty fucked up.
I appreciate their endless honesty.
Just pointing out the author mentions they used mastodon for a time too, their argument is that bluesky interface, content and moderation are better for them.
