  • Happy Lunar New Years. A lot of Asian cultures celebrate, not just Chinese.

The story behind the food, drinks, and money behind our ancestors is really interesting. I didn’t know that the process lasts days and there’s a whole “journey” until I was a little bit older.

I’m an atheist myself but I still join in on these things. While I’m an American born it makes me feel closer to my family as they have always done it… Also who doesn’t like red envelopes and well wishes for each other? I don’t get red envelopes anymore but that’s how I approach respectful people of different religions. Just engage and send my well wishes too. Celebrate and smile and learn what they day is about.

  • Got it. I’m just donating to anyone willing to publicly stand up to the administration right now and he hasn’t backed down. I’m sure he and many others are receiving threats from both current administration and MAGATS alike. Besides protesting, I felt like it’s my way of showing support. Like hey, we may disagree on a lot of other issues but I am in support of what you are doing right now. Our democracy is no longer a democracy and we need more allies fighting back against fascism. Most of the Democratic establishment is doing jack shit right now. Let’s support people that do have a backbone and continue to push and criticize those that do not. That’s my take on it

  • Honestly, I think unfortunately gender/sex does play a factor, in addition to race. If this administration has taught us anything, is that there is that much hate within our country.

Also think of cultures where historically their culture doesnt value women. Even if there are people who immigrated here, some still may never vote for a woman. Some will decline because they are racist. While we are all Americans, we are deeply deeply divided ATM :(

This is without even factoring the candidates political platform in yet.

  • Concur with you… And I live in CA where we do vote Democrat. While I would like to disagree, even Democrats I know veer away from politicians viewed as “too progressive”. They fear that true progressive agendas would alienate others within politics and result in nothing getting accomplished. For example, some love the idea of Bernie but believe hes too idealistic, “wishy washy” and that his plans are too. Too much for others within Congress to get on board and ally on the goals. If this is already coming from some Democrats in CA, I’m not surprised by swing states…

I 100% believe you. We may not like the reality but its there.

  • I know a few people at work that have foldables. Both are not going back and the crease really isnt noticeable.

One guy has the Google Pixel Fold. His kids share his phone to leave his wife’s phone alone when they are watching something. It makes it easier to share with his kids because its a larger screen. When it was smaller they fought more because they couldn’t all watch on a small screen. Hes reaping benefits too. Ive seen him have it open to watch NFL highlights lol.

The other person I know is a manager and its just really nice.

I don’t have one myself because its pretty $$$. If I valued phones I would pick one up myself. Year after year they have gotten significantly better with the crease and hardware. They’re often very beast with hardware features.
