I wonder if “code” means pull requests and they have a load of automated ones to update versions of external and internal libraries

If someone sees an Angus steakhouse and actually goes in and buys food they must be blind. It’s the most obvious looking tourist trap of a chain you can imagine.
It perches itself on corners in busy parts of London next to major tube stations and preys on the dimmest and laziest tourists. It’s genuinely worrying so many people fall for it and go in, reviews or not.
Recommending it is more of a joke than a serious attempt to convince anyone it’s good.
Won’t compete or can’t compete?
I’m not 100% sure Jared didnt
I’m torn, because this is useless, but also I’d quite like them up high on a platform for everyone to point and laugh at.
Light my arse, from the start they’ve interrupted with adverts for their own crap making it barely tolerable. Even on the adfree tier.
Canceled and no intention of ever going back. Measuring your ad load by American standards doesn’t work when your competition is netflix and iPlayer.
Til I use “well actually” too much. I will edit, thank you for the constructive help with my shitpost
Do bombs explode? Or is it the explosives inside of them that are exploding?
Did it really need quotes?
Please don’t “well actually” this
Jfc Christ Lemmy.
Every single comment misunderstanding the point. The batteries are exploding because there’s explosives in them. This does make them exploding batteries. They explode because they are partially made with explosives. Please don’t “well actually” this.
No this is not a description of something Israel did, it’s a hypothetical way to do a similar attack to show how within reach of idiot terrorists it is.
Raising the idea of doing this so everyone is thinking about it is extremely bad for us all. Thanks Israel.
404 broke this with investigate journalism. Account needed to read, to prevent ai scraping.
The Facebook code that outputs to fediverse using activity pub can put any posts it likes into that feed, because it’s not mastodon it’s custom and can absolutely inject ads.
If this is the problem spending a lot of effort to also serve ads along with the real video seems like it’d increase costs.
What you’re talking about is a real problem for Google but it’s not the only cause of the new behaviour since Neal took over
It’s a private company and the only investor that matters is musk.
Did they also mistranslate the Chinese women commenting on trailers that the studio is gross and don’t want women playing their game?
It’s honestly tragic, if you read that article it’s primarily about the Chinese game industry culture with one game and studio used as an example because it’s a supposedly a AAA game to rival western studios.
We’re being asked to believe ign has slandered a large Chinese studio, entirely made up, and kept the article up regardless. It just doesn’t hold water. Harrassing some poor women off social media and writing long comments about everything being made up is easy, but ign are still standing by the article six months after it was published.
There are so many outlandish claims in this comment with basically nothing backing it up
This 100%
I deleted my reply because it was too much but the original ign article on wukong is very tame. I can’t see why they’re so worked up to harass the author off the internet.
Some days beehaw not having downvotes is a real issue.
I was about to start mouth foaming, but got to the end of the name distant worlds:universe
If anyone is giving these a go make absolutely certain you’re not buying distant worlds 2 by mistake.
Star ruler as an disappointment is fair, but have you tried the totally different and now open sourced StarRuler2?
It’s a much better game, much tighter with a definite progress path for colonies shipping things to each other (later used by slipstream which is more pure management and might not fit your list)
It’s free, it’s worth a try I promise it’s very different to SR
Kakoune is there for you
