I find it kind of funny that Spider-Man is held up as some sort of golden standard to adhere to in all of this. Spider-Man is also very average game imo. The gameplay is not very compelling, and it’s no surprise that Insomniac’s approach would overstay its welcome after a couple of games. Doubly so when you move from Spider-Man, a character with a more diverse moveset and inherent better traversal abilities, to Wolverine.

The best way to “stand up for yourself” when a company that sells a luxury product is to not buy said product. In which case this tariff nonsense doesn’t affect you. More people were affect by the increase in the cost of groceries and gas than the cost of a Switch 2.
IMO I think it’s weird to focus specifically on Nintendo. The American government basically screwed over its populace and a ton of foreign companies (less sympathy for the latter though). I don’t think it’s realistic to expect these companies to reimburse customers, because logistically it’d be a nightmare. The only way I can imagine consumers getting their money back is if the government used the tarrif money to pay a portion of the federal income tax for its citizens, ideally the lower tax bracket. Unfortunately that won’t happen.

Improved hardware capabilities used to come very quickly (see Moore’s Law and Dennard Scaling). However that trend is basically over, so getting higher performance hardware takes a lot of effort to make hardware specialized for certain tasks. That’s why you see there inference accelerators like Groq, SambaNova, Cerebrus, etc. However this is hardware that still is gonna go into data centers. Something innovative has to happen on the AI side for commercial-grade models to be runnable on consumer hardware.
You got a source for that last sentence? I’m inclined to degree, but I’d love to see a a concrete explanation proving it.
I remember easily getting gems for free. Also the streak basically doesn’t matter at all. What made me uninstall is the slow pace m. It felt like I was stuck on the same words and topics forever. It felt like I was not actually learning anything, which if you’ve ever started learning a language if a formal setting, is very apparent.
I wonder if even some red states would stop paying as a result. I can’t imagine Ohio and Pennsylvania being ecstatic about propping up the Mississipi, Alabama, etc. after California, Illinois, etc. stop footing the bill.

It seems insane to me to dismiss their relationship as not a concern. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, but it seems absurd to think she is “squeaky clean” in light of it. Nope. However she has ties to Willie Brown, who is a notoriously corrupt politician in the San Francisco area. It’s a “where there is smoke…” situation. My point is not to assert that she has dirt but to point out that declaring there is no dirt might be a bit dubious.
Yeah, I will not pretend that I did not have fun with it. However, by the end of it I had not desire for more of it. As a result, I haven’t played any of the sequels.
