Politicians work product is not information, it is legislation.
“Politician that never lies” is like “Developer that never writes bugs”. I want to live in that world too, but it is a fantasy world.

It is absolutely disgusting how you talk about an ongoing genocide.
Misinformation Bot says that WaPo is left-center lmao. Absolutely ridiculous.
Boston Globe is left-center? Yikes, more misinformation from the conservative bot.
I’m not sure if they are a russian shill, but unfortunately they are telling the truth. Democrats have often employed the pied piper strategy, and it has come back to bite them a few times.
It was probably most famously used when Hillary Clinton boosted Trump, because he seemed to be the weakest Republican primary candidate at the time. How the Hillary Clinton campaign deliberately “elevated” Donald Trump with its “pied piper” strategy
Democrats are still boosting and supporting extremist Republicans now. The risky strategy Democrats are using to win elections
Your data does not logically lead to your conclusion, because the polls cited naturally bifurcated the responses into two (or three) camps.
It’s like if I did a poll asking: “what is your favorite color, purple or yellow?” and then said this proves that 50% of respondents’ favorite color is purple. We are discounting the opinions of orange and green lovers.
So it sounds like theres 3 steps here:
Yeah that kinda sounds like bs to me. There are 2 donations, and an advertising campaign. No extra money is generated by the “match”.
A different dataset would be an improvement, but you will have an uphill battle getting it changed.
This bot is created and operated by the admins here at lemmy.world and they appear to have a financial stake in MBFC.
NPR is left center too? Lol
MBFC is garbage propaganda.
Omfg the stupid misinformation bot thinks CBS news is left-center lmao
Why even post if you’re going to include absolutely no information?
What a garbage bot.
Misinformation bot thinks ABC news is left center lmao.
Sadly the only reason its here is because lemmy.world admins are being paid by mbfc :(
Misinformation Bot For Chuds
It’s hard to imagine a person over the age of like 25 that is truly undecided.
I think the real demographic in question is thinking something like this: should I go vote to help stop the madman Trump, or should I just not bother because the Democrats are aiding and abetting a genocide?.
Sadly, Harris and Biden continue to push away these critical voters.
Ok sure, let me clarify.
Successful presidential candidate Trump has been telling rambling, near-incoherent stories since at least 2015. This type of unfiltered ranting based on reactionary grievances has earned him many followers and many detractors.
Unsuccessful presidential candidate Trump sounded much more like a run of the mill politician back in 2000, before he became a reality tv show star.
He has always told rambling, near-incoherent stories. He has always lied profusely.
What’s new is how hes slurring his words, and how lethargic he is. It was especially noticable in his recent performance on the Lex Fridman show podcast.
The early signs of dementia are unavoidable at this point. It might only be a matter of time until Trump has his “We finally beat Medicare” moment.
They would call the leader of the israeli state and threaten to stop shipping weapons. Just like it was done multiple times in the past.
When Reagan and HW Bush made this phone call, the wars ended overnight. Why wouldnt it work for Biden/Kamala?
Thanks for the thoughtful response, but the follow up question is obvious: why only 20 per year?
There are over 19,000 FDA approved drugs, and 50 more are added each year. It’s going to take a couple hundred years to catch up at this rate.
Why did we stop at 10?
This should happen with every drug.
I think a lot of this comes down to the semantics of “intention”.
I intended to write line 152 exactly as written. I intended to write code that compiles. But that pesky compiler imposes reality on me when it says “bug on line 152”. Did I intend to write the bug?
Similarly, a politician may make a public promise on the campaign trail. They may truly intend to fulfill that promise, but political reality stops them when they are elected. There are hundreds of possible reasons for failure: poor planning and naivety, lack of political capital, or even accepting a lobbyist’s bribe. Which of these cases should be considered lies?
