Hmm, I’ll try to dig into it later, but I took a quick glance, and it looked a lot like Mandarin Chinese to me!

If I knew anything about setting up and running an instance, I would, but I actually have less than no knowledge on how to do that. Like negative knowledge.

Doh! You got me again, there’s no lemmy.sport!

You got me. I was like, “There’s a sportslemmy.net?!” Then I tried to go there, and apparently it doesn’t exist. 😢

I think that not federating would be better for a private community, but maybe that’s just me. If it federates, then it’s not really private.

I don’t know anything about the safety and security, I just wanted to point out that Piefed has had private communities for about 4 months now. One can be set up where the only way you can get in is being invited by a member, a mod, or the owner of the community.

Gonna be really funny when he gets back here and has no MS-13 tattoo on his knuckles.
“But the El Salvadoran prison lasered it off. Yeah, that’s the ticket. Really.”
I give a few dollars to support PieFed development every month because I truly like it and use it. It’s not much, but I’m sure every little bit helps. I also give to my main home server to help offset operating costs. I use the Mastodon server, I used the Lemmy server for good while, and then when PieFed released, I asked, and the person who runs it deployed a PieFed instance. Again, it’s not much, but if everyone gave a little, it would add up!
