Good idea. Should we vote for another Dem who will do the same shit? Or for a hard R who will do even worse?

Completely agree. There are no US politicians who are willing to offer social progress or even support middle-class workers. If you’re not a campaign donor, you can’t get shit in this country.
Not that it matters who votes for who. After the 2024 election, it’s obvious the winner isn’t decided by votes anyway.

“Democrats agree with fascism and wont oppose it.”
Tell us something we don’t know.

They can, but they won’t. Everyone knows the Dems’ donors won’t allow them to put up any real resistance against fascism. Best they’ll do is a public condemnation, maybe a pinky swear to hold the next one accountable, if we’re lucky.

Citizens don’t get meaningful reform against face shooting or accountability for face shooters under D either.
The best we ever get is another public condemnation against face shooting and an empty threat to hold the next face shooter accountable, pinky swear this time.

Anyone else noticed they’re starting this stuff in the deep blue states with tight gun regulations and assault weapon bans?

If voting R means corporatism and fascism, and voting D still means corporatism and fascism, just on the next election cycle instead of this one, who cares if there’s any technical distinction between them?

They could. But they won’t. That would be more than just token resistance. Everybody knows the Dems are paid by corporations to only resist with words, motions, committees, and meaningless votes.
If we want accountability, we’re going to have to demand it, like after George Floyd.
Only once it becomes cheaper to appease us than resist us, will we be appeased.

Oh, look out! She’s been threatened! That’ll show her!

One side wants, enables, and defends fascism. The other side only offers token resistance and refuses to allow any populist or progressive candidates onto the presidential ballot (remember when Bernie Sanders won the vote to be nominated in 2016 and the DNC said “no” and appointed Hillary Clinton anyway?). Biden promised to codify Roe v Wade, un-schedule cannabis, and forgive student loan debt. None of those things happened. Instead, corporations were given priority over the voters, on every issue, for another election cycle, so the hard Rs could continue their corporatism and fascism unimpeded as soon as they were elected again.
When the end result of electing one is corporatism and fascism, and the end result of electing the other is still corporatism and fascism, but four years later, who cares whether there’s any technical distinction between them?

The EPA allows pollution. The FDA bans medicine. The Justice Department protects criminals. The IRS audits the poor.
Are we Great Again yet?

No. Asking the question only serves to normalize this behavior.

No. Cadet Bone Spurs needs a distraction from the Trumpstein files

No. I’m saying regulatory and legal capture have turned each into separate entities with separate agendas, working toward the same overall goal.

“My ass is toast if democracy wins.”
-FTFY

The three most populated cities in America are also in the most anti-gun states in the union. It’s illegal to even possess the kind of firepower that’d be required for something like that. This is by design, of course.
The only places where you can own that kind of hardware are the harmless rural areas, not near any critical infrastructure, but chock full of electoral votes and underfunded school systems.

It’s the Republicans’ job to do fascism. It’s the Democrats’ job to lose elections and offer minimal resistance against the Republicans’ agenda. This is what they’ve been paid to do; the Republicans started with Reagan, the Democrats started with Clinton.
Since then, it’s become not only legal, but incentivized, for them to represent corporate interests over voters’ interests.

Senate issues decree stating, “No retaliation until next week, and even then, only the absolute bare minimum.”
-FTFY
The democrats offer only token resistance, as usual.

So much for refusing illegal orders…
We tried that in 2016 when we elected Bernie Sanders as our Dem candidate. The DNC told us to go fuck ourselves and nominated Hillary Clinton anyway. So, no, apparently that won’t work either.
