Im a little tired of the high horse shit, and see the democrats as enablers of facism (doesn’t matter if it’s intentional or not really, the result is the same)

ReiRose@lemmy.worldto Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL about the Concorde aircraft that flew at twice the speed of sound, and thad passenger flights from NY to London in three hours (versus 7 hours)English19·1 month agoThe crash was caused by part of the engine cowl from the previous flight (continental DC10) falling off and remaining on the runway
Whilst taking off from Charles de Gaulle Airport, Air France Flight 4590 ran over debris on the runway dropped by an aircraft during the preceding departure, causing a tyre to explode and disintegrate… five minutes before the Concorde departed, Continental Airlines Flight 55, a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30, took off from the same runway for Newark International Airport and lost a titanium alloy strip that was part of the engine cowl…Concorde ran over this piece of debris during its take-off…cutting the right-front tyre of its left main wheel bogie and sending a large chunk of tyre debris into the underside of the left wing… It did not directly puncture any of the fuel tanks, but it sent out a pressure shockwave that ruptured the number 5 fuel tank at its weakest point, just ahead of the left landing gear well.

ReiRose@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Tennessee woman denied prenatal care for being unmarried38·2 months agoShe wasn’t even “promiscuous”. That absolutely shouldn’t Legally matter and doesn’t morally matter at all, but the physician wasn’t even going for low hanging fruit: she had been with the same man for 15 years and they had a 13yo together?? They were essentially married. Stfu dumb ass physician.
I hope it goes all the way to the Supreme Court (not that she should have to) and I like to think if I ever met said physician I would suddenly recieve divine intervention that, morally, no doctors should have Achilles tendons.
ReiRose@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Why is the manosphere on the rise? UN Women sounds the alarm over online misogynyEnglish2110·3 months agoYou make some good points, but i cant resist the thought experiment:
Is there even an incentive for solving women’s problems? Patriarchy can use women to portray the ultimate evil; influencers can use that portrayal to criticize women, engage in rage bait, get attention and secure brand deals.
Capitalism can appease men to promote consumerism wrapped in misogyny. Corporations can capitalize on women’s loneliness and low self-worth.
I have noticed that women with low self-worth find meaning in work, which ultimately profits corporations, the money they will earn will be expanded on consumerisms/additions which again can be profited by capitalism and corporate.
The rich can have as many resources as they want, so why solve it? Other than individuals (women) taking matters in their own hands and rescuing each other I don’t think there is enough incentive to help women as community or whole
