There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy. Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously and without instruction. Random acts of insurrection are occurring constantly. There are whole armies, battalions that have no idea that they’ve already enlisted in the cause. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear.

Nobody knew war was so complicated. Nobody!

Fired because of stuff she’s been doing, or stuff she hasn’t been doing?
Noem repeatedly suggested the president was aware of the campaign and signed off on it.
Oh, that makes sense. Fired for a petty reason by the hurt snowflake in charge.
In the administration, true. The military side has some smart people, though, and at some point, this has to break. We might as well make a crown now if it’s yes-men all the way down. They took a damn oath.
I also get the dilemma of falling on a sword one at a time. It doesn’t do much of anything except lose a career and ruin a life. Much like protesting single-handedly against oppression results in losing a job, while needing that paycheck, and no change from the action.
But enough pebbles at one time make an avalanche.

More importantly, nothing was done. A decade or more ago, associating and supporting such things was done, but quietly. Now (or last year) it’s openly okay for a Congressperson to say it out loud. That, and saying fascism is fine. We’re past the point of warning signs, the house is on fire.

That is an issue, one that is being discussed and can be turned off currently. Meanwhile Microsoft is head deep in AI so much they’re renaming known trademarks into their AI brand. So… I don’t think Mozilla is the bigger problem.

Maybe they can hold their ground for long enough to get something accomplished. Like last time, remembe… oh, right. Shit.

“Nobody knew!” - some U.S. President
Remember when he was asked to speak as the President of the United States to the average American, during the start of Covid? He was given the softest of softballs, that people were scared and needed reassurance. We’ve all seen the Presidents in Hollywood movies, we KNOW what you say, even if you don’t mean it or haven’t a clue.
What did Donald do? Thought of himself. “Nasty reporter. Nasty question.”
What a failure.
Clearly, shoot people in the back if they didn’t vote correctly.

One of my random Linux boot-up sounds is the WinXP boot theme.

When GIMP’s version 3 came out, it got a lot of great reviews. I can’t tell you what’s different or better, but in using it myself since then, it doesn’t “feel” as daunting. Very subjective, but definitely try it out again; it might work for you this time around.

If I had it, it would already be out there. But someone does have it… so they could do something.

Leaks get clicks. Have to make it marketable for the media, they don’t do what they do for the public good.

Not lucid, but no one who has the legal power to invoke it wants to threaten what they’re getting from him staying in position. It’s not just Trump; I’d say that he isn’t the real problem, just a symptom allowed to persist because of the rot elsewhere.

Yes. But then a period.
Except that such idiots often hurt other people in their blundering. If they just gave themselves a Darwin Award, that would be optimal.

“Rights aren’t rights if they can be taken away. They’re privileges. That’s all we’ve ever had in this country: A bill of temporary privileges. And if you read the news, even badly you know that the list gets shorter and shorter” - George Carlin
Part of that has to be media attention. Can’t support a cause you didn’t hear about because your particular feed went with something else that gets more clicks.
When you’re being raped and forced to do things, you do what you have to do.
