Well yes most anyone here knows he’s 1/100th as bad as trump. and honestly in practice as president, I have to say he may actually be the best president in my lifetime. Doesn’t change the fact that his age was a huge problem in his campaigning. and put simply the democratic party’s obvious coverup of his age, that all fell appart on debate day did a pretty awful weakening to the image of the democratic party, which I would say, contributed to a good portion of swayable voters staying home or voting for trump.

I’m willing to bet next week we’ll get an MRI result, of his toe… and someone’s going to notice the date is this week.

Always good to know a strong political movement being lead, when the creators, don’t mention a single policy stance, state their past sides were based on which party hired them first… and formerly helped the tea party. So in short, their goal is to find districts of low turnout where voters aren’t arsed to show up… giving an independent candidate a shot, with no indication of what that candidate will stand for.

If I had to be a betting man, I’m going to assume, it’s going to be just like the tea party with a new strategy. IE it’s stances will be determined by the same money that dominates the existing 2 parties, given the false air of being “independent”, just like the tea party did.

The political consiquences of this are unknown. Could mandami be a snake, absolutely, is it possible that behind closed doors he said to trump “I don’t actually believe anything I said, go ahead and send ice in and do whatever you want”… can’t rule it out, wouldn’t be the first time we’ve been screwed (cough fetterman).

But at the same time… it’s also possible they just said a bunch of platitudes. He just stuck up some charm, redirected his ideas in a way that trump thought they were his own.

Point is trump is going to have impact, and getting trump to moderately like you, is a good thing and will make enacting your goals easier, even when your goals are directly going to go head to head against trump. Mandami has a lot of goals, and he cannot get them all passed unilaterally. When he actually changes his rhetoric, or doesn’t push for any of the things he said he would, that’s when we call him out. Talking with other leaders, is kind of what politicians are supposed to do.

I mean it’s so obvious… is anyone else unaware that raising the goal for quantity is how you lower quality. Organized criminals are… well organized and hard to find. Finding one big cartel leader is considerably harder than scooping up 100 people showing up for their scheduled appointment with immigration court.

I mean does he have a chance, if I’m not mistaken didn’t he win against a pedophile by the skin of his teeth. and now at this rate I’m wondering if pedophilia is less unpopular than it was back then.

that’s true, but I think it’s in the phrasing, they describe it as a shortage of human made content. the bigger issue to note is the lack of ability to identify human made content. IE you give it reddit and our e-mails, there’s plenty of human made content on there… but nobody knows what percentage of it is actually bots or AIs.

Honestly I don’t get how AI isn’t rolling backwards already. Image sites are burried in AI slop. Social media posts are burried in AI slop, and now e-mails, that were probably written by AIs. How is AI even remotely improving right now, when obviously 90% of any new training data it’s getting, was generated by the last generation of AI.

Maybe he’s just Pichai is just really smart and trying to get the breaks slammed on the AI bubble before it pops.

I’m not doubting the problems of any government. however to make the case that it’s not grounded on the fear of communism… It’s not like that’s exactly uncommon in countries we are continuing to do business like NBD, Isreal, Russia, Saudi Arabia to name a few off the top of my head.

Again not disagreeing with the general concept that communist countries aren’t exempt from committing atrocities. Difference is a capitalist country does them “it’s a growing pain”, or “they are starting out, once they get big enough they’ll fix it, just like the US did”.

Also in news, the 37 felony convictions might be because trump comitted some crimes. Does he think he’s brilliant and the rest of the country is idiots? You aren’t dealing with a criminal mastermind, your dealing with a batman villain. The issue isn’t that he’s so clever nobody can see his clever manuvering, it’s that everyone in a position to do something about it, is corrupt as fuck.

It’s the point though, not even completely undefended, still not 10% of the same level of defense as the primary points of capitalism. IE just note how much force, propoganda etc… is pushed at any country that isn’t capitalist enough. Right now fishing boats are being bombed. or even non military force, like the trade embargo’s on cuba etc…

and heaven knows how many government sponsered coups etc… Point is a lot of resources go into doing everything possible to make things that aren’t capitalist enough have a very steep uphill climb.

While they certainly implode… I think there’s the old problem.

Like say you have 5 co-operative communities that focus on building up great resources, polite trade with eachother, no focus on millitary.

Then you throw in 2 Viking type communities, extremely warlike, that have no independent ability to gather resources… but specifically focus on pillaging.

Obviously the vikings take out the poorly defended villages to build up resources, before going after eachother, in the long run everyone dies out because the vikings wreck everything for everyone, and leave nothing for themselves.

I feel like that’s kind of a form of what happens with capitalism vs socialism types. we’ve got elements that really just want peace… but the warlike ones will just continue to survive, as long as there are enough peaceful societies to wreck… and unfortunately the peaceful ones are the ones to go down first, in spite of being the only ones that would survive long term without the others existance.

I do 100% agree that the concept of having hugely varied terms for pedophile, and say the term Minor attracted person, and get really sick of hearing people lash out on when the term MAP is used to say “You just want to protect pedophiles”.

No I want people who have the urge to abuse children, to get treatement and never act on it and live peaceful happy lives where they never harm an innocent person, and to me that is far better of an outcome than a child being abused, but supposedly it gets made up for by the abuser getting tortured in prison.

It’s so fricking infuriating because, literally we were actually seeing the cracks form. Trump admin is violating the hatch act, pushing “dem’s have shut down the government”, and yet poll after poll shows the american people put the blame on the republicans. Trump was constantly boo’d to his face at the commanders game… and the democrats had an amazing election where they won every contest they were in. I can’t fathom a worse time to fold

So, sounds to me like… trumps yes men are only bringing him scenerios where he wins. They don’t want to be like the girl who brought him unfavorable jobs numbers.

As a result basically they might slice numbers up so that in attempting to dillute democratic districts out of existance, they may instead turn all the districts competitive, and if everything swings like this last election he might lose more than he gains.

Admitted though, could go in favor for him as obviously this weeks election had one huge key detail going in it’s favor, the democrats gave the illusion they were actually fighting and standing up to trump. Which as usual they managed to completely screw it up… right after getting overwhelming evidence that “yes this is what we want!”.

That’s the double whammy to me. It’s bad enough that we lost and got nothing for it, but we paid a huge price.
