  • Yeah, capitalism has wholly captured and groomed the worst of the political class to the state and federal level, and everyone’s still acting like the average politician is just some ineffective idealist, instead of a white collar criminal positioned because they were corrupt.

It’s like how people still default to “won’t someone think of the small businesses and competition” when regulations are mentioned. Everyone still acts like it’s the 50’s and we still have mom & pop style small businesses, when capitalism has already destroyed the lions share of small or family owned businesses, and achieved a functional-monopoly in every major industry.

The last century of corporate propaganda was a roaring success.

  • Here’s a general primer https://programminghistorian.org/en/lessons/introduction-to-stylometry-with-python

It’s ultimately just statistics, and AI is far better than humans at finding patterns in massive data sets. They are perfectly suited to stylometry. The more text they have of a given user, the higher the probability of cross-referencing against identified users (Facebook, Twitter, etc).

Even if you never post publicly, the problem is western governments have been engaging in dragnet mass surveillance for decades, which means the US gov — probably many govs, especially your own — almost certainly have every text message, email, etc you’ve ever written; all are transmitted unencrypted. This means the US, and likely your own gov, have the highest probability of deanon-ing you. They also have the highest budgets ace access to perform such a task.

Again, it’s only a matter of time until 99% of “anonymous” accounts, above a certain word count, are cross-referenced; likely only a few thousand words. I suspect they could already do 99% of accounts above 10 or 20k words.

  • It makes a lot of sense that we live in oligarchies when you realise that the entire economic system — every business — is an oligarchy; competing with other oligarchies. Businesses where the majority owner/shareholder is 1 person are basically dictatorships. Family owned businesses are dynasties. We’re really a stones throw from the feudalism and monarchs of old.

It’s kind of mentally ill to believe that the entire economic system could be structured this way, but the political system could be democracy; the exact opposite…

  • “The rules are made up” has been the ruling classes M.O. for all of history. No rule of law has ever applied to them.

The SC stole the 2000 election for Bush. The fascist oligarchy has been playing the long game and almost completely destroyed the American experiment. They control the entire R party, and enough D’s to neuter meaningful resistance. The only question now is whether the American people will take the power back, or continue to accept the coup and embrace a totalitarian dystopia far worse than the Gestapo or KGB could have ever dreamed.
