She is playing a post-Trump game and knows a looming power vacuum when she sees one.

It is really quite something how Obama almost categorically opted to give up without a fight on virtually every issue. He had to be dragged across the finish line for the ACA and was trying to kill the public option before Lieberman even took that charge up.
The backroom politics of the Obama years should have primed anyone for what came after.
I see this sentiment a whole lot. Unless you were like, one of the few thousand people in a swing district in a swing state, that vote, for/against/thirdparty/nonvote likely had zero impact. Tens of millions of voters have their votes dumpstered because of thr electoral college. California Trump voters and Tennessee Democrats, alike.
Unless you know your vote would’ve swung your district and also your state, do not sweat having put faith in a camp. Besides it is about policy, not people or party.
If someone is focused on people or party at the expense of any policy? You’re probably not dealing with strong leftist sentiment to begin with.
A kinder, gentler mass deportation and border militarization is pretty on point with the bipartisan border plan being touted.
They use ‘loaded words’ so they are ‘mixed’!
Goddamn he is so fuckin’ old.
He was giving what was essentially a 2020 campaign speech and appeared to be referencing 2017 events, so it makes sense he had a better grip with it.
When Craig Huckaby announced he would not seek re-election as mayor, Brooke decided to join the family business.
Sigh…
Walz to win; or Shapiro to lock up at AIPAC money.
Hmm.
Hold on and make it to see her inaugurated and that way you’ll have lived longer than Kissinger, Carter.
I know you can do it!
It’s pretty wild to look at a +7 polling lead as a potential loss.
That’s like, Texas margins.
That and seeing him without a beard is all the information anyone ever needs about J.D. Vance.
When the public pays any attention to conservative policy.
Ah sifting through the ashes of GND and BBB, or FOCA for that matter…
Every time they say it, they add to the ‘evidence’ of it being true. This is the purpose of the Heritage foundation, who wrote Project 2025.
That would be the ‘benevolent dictator’ crowd. Strong amongst the military and business/tech investor class.
if Democrats control the White House and both chambers of Congress in 2025
They aren’t about to win a fucking trifecta. It will be a miracle if they keep the senate tied, let alone win the white house and take back the house.
Of course it is easy to say now all this shit if THAT is the condition for actually doing it: total control of government.
(And then SCOTUS can still throw it out as unconstitutional because that was the entire point of overturning roe v wade: it made the decision constitutional case law, which overrides legislated statutes.)
The only way this is possible is by rewriting the Constitution. FDR was the last president willing to, and that definitely didn’t happen.
Biden doesn’t have Constitution rewriting level support.
He didn’t actually endorse Trump or Vance which is key. If he had, well, fuck him. But he demanded concessions.
That said: more than anything if you look at the crowd you’ll see the remarkable difference between the ruling class attending and the working class base that make up the GOP. That was a speech to the GOP’s working class base to make demands.
I have strong doubts if it will be fruitful, but I’m willing to see it out. Took some balls to make that speech without endorsing anyone.
RIP Taiwanese electronic device export economy.
