I’ve definitely met gay men who hate other gay men that they think “act gay,” and they’re pretty much always racist and incredibly misogynistic, too. It’s true, I’m so anti-family that I want people to make a living wage with paid parental leave, have access to affordable housing and childcare, go to doctor without declaring bankruptcy, and eat 3 meals a day that aren’t made of garbage. Me and my cat-sized dog are so miserable with our choices that we want people to have happy, healthy lives even if we don’t personally benefit from most of those policies. Fuck families, amirite?
Realistically, most DEI initiatives I’ve seen have been more like, “put a statement acknowledging that women and minorities are less likely to apply for jobs when they don’t meet 100% of the requirements and encouraging them to apply anyway, make the work environment not a living nightmare for those candidates/employees, don’t throw resumes in the trash because they have a ‘black name,’ Sharon.” If even that much, really. Republicans act like companies are firing all the cishet white dudes instead of just maybe not having a leadership team composed exclusively of those men.

Oh I have no doubt there will be violence if Biden wins, but they’ve already said there will be violence against opponents if Trump wins, so I think all anyone can do is be prepared.
