Jimmy Wales is an objectivist- he moderated online forums related to Ayn Rand before he started Nupedia and Wikipedia.

I might be mistaken, but aren’t Wikipedia’s origins in objectivism? It would make sense if so for the foundation to oppose a trade union (in no way am I saying they are in the right though).

I just went through this same deal on LinkedIn, only I told the “recruiter” I’d need to verify with the company this is standard practice (which I did, I emailed corporate). The account vanished within a few hours of me sending that msg. Same as the article, I reported the repo to GitHub and as far as I can tell the organization and accounts associated with it are still online.

Relays rebroadcast public posts to instances that are subscribed to it. For admins, adding relays helps increase the potential amount of posts that reach your instance.
