Hot take of the day: academia doesn’t need social media.
Hey… This is Moe Szyslak’s enemies list! They just deleted his name and put Nixon’s!
The answer is still no.
What if this was just a scheme to get everyone free monitoring
He’s got the vibe of a guy who once lost a pull-up contest and had his ego severely damaged over it. So he went home and trained on nothing but pull-ups for years until he got really good at them. And now he goes around challenging everyone to pull-up contests, insists that pull-ups are the superior form of exercise, crashes school board meetings demanding that kids be required to do a certain number of pull-ups in order to graduate, and advocates for this bizarre idea of tying voting rights to how many pull-ups you can do.
Like, we get it. You like pull-ups. A lot. You think they’re important. But not everybody does, and certainly not enough to serve as a basis for voting rights.
He should be happy we don’t have political power tied to some other person’s stupid niche hobby. Like owning real estate.
I ain’t been out anywhere damn near long enough for them to now try to make sundresses some kinda symbol of patriarchal domesticity cult bullshit. I’m trans, I’m out, and if the sun’s out too, I’m wearing a sundress. Goddammit.
Homesteading I could take or leave lol
Dang what for?
“Can you think of any laws that give government the power to make decisions about the male body?”
Saved you a click if that’s all you’re interested in. But if you want to see him flim-flam and squirm for 45 seconds, definitely click.
Plus input data?
So something akin to this joke image I saw the other day is actually feasible for Wikipedia?
This reminds me of another circular argument: Anything the president does can be considered “acting presidential” simply because they’re president. You might’ve thought that shitposting on twitter was unbecoming of a world leader, but once a president does it, it’s okay for a president to do.
An argument to protect a fool from public criticism now doubles as a defense against legal action.
I tried muting the TV and just reading the captions for a little, and it made me a fair bit more confident in Biden. And he did have some good moments after I turned the sound back on. I’m just worried it won’t be enough. Maybe it’s the anxiety of realizing that we’ve actually reached election season.
I keep tuning in and out. I tune out when Trump speaks because everything he says is just such an affront to objective reality. But then I also tune out when Biden speaks because… He just comes off as so old it’s making me cringe. Like, this is the best we could come up with to combat a literal fucking fascist.
Then I wonder, what part of this am I listening to? The questions?
I appreciate this thread’s nuanced discussion of how file deletion works from a technical standpoint depending on storage medium. But as a user, when I delete something, it should go away forever. I don’t care how.
Does it need to be online and continuous?
