  • That’s some major logical fallacy stuff that you’ve got spinning in your head over there. It’s also not the first time I’ve seen you make conclusions based off logical fallacies too. Please, please, please, do yourself a favor and do some studying on logical fallacies and public speaking. It’ll do you wonders on effectively communicating and reducing your negative outcomes.

    And for the record.

I believe in the idea of third parties. I will vote for serious third party candidates that have done the real work of getting out there and recognized for their platform and constituents in down ballot elections (as long as those platforms align with me). However, I am not going to vote for any current third party in a presidential election since barely any of them have done the down ballot work to make them even possible from being serious presidential candidates. So I will vote for harm reduction, because my life & lifestyle doesn’t have the benefit of surviving another Trump presidency.

    Lastly.

Not everything is about you. Somehow you made this post that was unrelated to you or third parties about you and your third party interests. I hope you can see how that could annoy people in this community and make you come off as disengenous with ulterior motives at worst or unstable and self-absorbed at best.

  • Seriously. I’ve been hearing early warning alrms about Project 2025 from media articles for at leat 6+ months now. Same with the election poll rigging shit that I’ve been seeing “MSM isn’t telling you about this MAGA poll rigging!”

Maybe it’s because I pay attention? Nah, that can’t be it, I have ADHD.

In reality, it’s because there’s a ton of shit going on and in various stages of completion. Shit that’s dire/urgent today gets fed to the top of reporting with the stuff that sucks but doesn’t have impact now gets depruotized for later.

  • Too bad we all don’t have a Julie around.

Working all day for a mean little man With a clip-on tie and a rub-on tan He’s got me runnin’ around the office like a dog around a track But when I get back home, you’re always there to rub my back

Hey, Julie, look what they’re doing to me Tryna trip me up, tryna wear me down Julie, I swear it’s so hard to bear it And I’d never make it through without you around No, I’d never make it through without you around

Hey Julie - Fountains of Wayne

  • CNN changed ownership a while back and it’s had a clear impact on their bias and reporting standards. Giving a voice to the “far right” was a final straw of my “trust but verify” stance I had with them before that change.

Obviously I don’t trust Fox, OAN (do they still exist?), InfoWars or any of the similar ilk at all. Thats not to say that I write off everything right wing, but there isnt many that pass muster in the US ATM.

There’s also a handful of “left” publications that I dismiss offhand due to a history of sensationalism and bad perspectives.

The majority of news is a “trust but verify” stance with me (using a secondary media outlet). It’s not a straight “this news source is credible” stance, but whether or not they have a history of news that is overtly biased, sensationalized, or mis-reporting. And then there’s the individual article itself.
