The momentum is turned back into electricity to reclaim potential energy. Some of the energy was already spent in RO stage and this process gets some of it back.

From the abstract:
“These results suggest that the movements involved in handwriting allow a greater memorization of new words. The advantage of handwriting over typing might also be caused by a more positive mood during learning. Finally, our results show that handwriting with a digital pen and tablet can increase the ability to learn compared with keyboard typing once the individuals are accustomed to it.”

Imagine further if Henry Wallace had not been replaced as FDR’s VP by Truman just a few months before FDR died. We would have had a real scientist (HW was a corn geneticist who founded the first hybrid corn seed company) at the helm.
The post-world war 2 world would have developed very differently.
(sigh)

The Movement Is Growing — and It’s No Longer a Joke3·27 days agoBeing seen as having rizz at the national level is nothing to scoff at. We disdain celebrity but it is hard to obtain and keep. It can be used for good or ill, but the competencies needed for durable celebrity status are many.
Think about all the skills and consistency a person who is on camera all the time has to have. They need to be internally consistent. They need to know who they are and project themselves well. they need to know how to manage a media career and they need to speak ideas that resonate with an audience and make people want to remember their name.
You are absolutely correct celebrity and politician have always been intertwined professions.
If the dems use skullduggery to avoid primaries, they are no longer ‘the lesser evil’ and the old blue-no-matter-who arguments do not apply anymore.
It’s not that deep. Give me a real choice in a primary.
