I think I hate it the most that the current model gives the illusion of being private, when it isn’t.
Mark with a Z@lemmy.kde.socialto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Voting in the threadiverseEnglish18·2 days agoThey aren’t shown to users, no, but because votes are federated, they’re freely accessible to anyone willing to put in some effort. Set up a server and you’ll get access to the data.

Mark with a Z@lemmy.kde.socialto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Is there a way I can easily set up my own federated instance for free or no?English16·4 days agoYou’d have a hard time finding a company that would just give you access to a vps or managed instance for free. Running a server always costs someone money.

Your site says “no confusion”, “no fluff”, “zero BS”, etc. but the entire page is just incoherent fluff bullshit. I read the page and I have no clue what your product does.

The tools are on the author’s github: https://github.com/portasynthinca3/swl01u/blob/bf50f89b1d28701791a4866ef97944513e8c6a1c/shell.py

Mark with a Z@lemmy.kde.socialto Technology@lemmy.world•World's First MIDI ShellcodeEnglish5·5 months agoNice. I wonder how many synths out there have a shell accessible through MIDI, I should get one.
This sounded off, so I checked the docs.
