in other words, even if musk didn’t want to have them blocked, he couldn’t do much about it without bribing everyone who gave the orders or something drastic like that

not hating misled trump voters is actually a really good idea and more people need to try it
not saying that the actually insane ones arent worth hating, but some people are just maga bc everyone they know is
someone should start a fundraiser so we can buy it
its basically just that, facts that are low quality
because they teach people and the govt thinks that education is important
I’d love it if the fediverse could have its own algoithms as long as theyre open sourced and made ethically, like they shouldn’t mess with peoples mental health or cause social media addictions
ik some good people that are still there because some of their friends are.
bluesky is just early twitter, and it wont stay that way for long. they’ve already removed people from there that the Turkish govt doesn’t like and there is nothing at all stopping some billionaire like musk from swooping in and buying it all up.
id get them if they were from framework or something and ran some open sourced AR software
me me! pick me!

but how is this different than some hedge fund or bank using money the government didn’t have but still spent, using that money to invest into something? Because as I understand it, sovereign wealth funds are just the govt investing into stuff that has a long term gain
ik, but hypothetically, why would a surplus be needed?
I’d rather have it replaced with a sovereign wealth fund or something ngl.
I use arch btw
commas exist. why is this 500 lines
tor is crazy, like you cant use half the internet with it - how do you sign into stuff while remaining anonymus? its good for hiding browsing history from the world, but other than that i don think its the best. iIuse librewolf and it seems to work well, i might switch in the future to something else but im fine with this.
use librewolf if you want privacy. idk much abt brave but i do know that their ceo is super homophobic, and ive heard that brave sometimes changes the referral links you select to make them money
I think in some cases DAOs kinda make sense to be legal entities (in some contexts), like a public company is somewhat controlled by its investors, and if you want to create some sort of crypto-related product - im thinking of something like polymarket or opensea here - you could get investment by auctioning off special voting tokens for the DAO that controls it (so if the majority of token holders wanted to, they could for example, change the background of the site, or introduce a new feature). I imagine getting legal recognition of such a company would make this a ton easier.
Of course, replacing/creating governments with this sorta thing would be insane, but on a lower level, like for companies, it doesn’t seem that bad
you know I thought I misread that for a moment and I thought you meant to say that he wanted to erode free speech, but that’s not what ur saying
