None of this would be remotely necessary if conservatives weren’t religious zealots dead set on controlling everyone’s lives. A 7 year old should not have to testify in a court room to read some fucking books.

Up to 90 minutes of testifying for a seven-year-old? Jesus christ. I’ve taught seven-year-olds. They need breaks to rest even in a fun educational environment, nevermind being stuck on a witness stand while barely understanding what is happening.
