Hey, in the ten days since you started this account, you’ve posted almost three hundred and sixty times.

If that was spread over a twelve hour period each day that’s a post every twenty minutes and comments every ten.

How do you maintain such high quality and factual content with that schedule?

Thanks for keeping count! Your interest in my post history makes me feel kinda important!

I remember on my 3rd day, someone commented on how many comments I had posted in three days. And guess what? Someone did that on my 5th day. And 6th day. Etc.

Having said that, unfortunately I’m under no obligation to explain my posting habits or hobbies with you.

And do you realize that once ya read a news article, it only takes about 12 seconds to post it?

It’s literally cutting an pasting the article title and web addy. Not that amazing, nor is it hard to do. Maybe you could try it and post your own articles that you are interested in!

I’d prefer to keep my comments focused on the content of this article and keep to the tone of this community. And your comments about my post count has no bearing on this article.

If anything I have posted breaks the rules of this community, then the mods will remove. They are very good and keeping this community in good shape. Thank you!

I’m just curious because I consider myself a heavy Lemmy user, and I average about twenty comments per day and slightly more then one post per week.

I couldn’t imagine doing a hundred posts and comments a day.

You don’t need to feel bad about not posting as much as I do—it’s not a competition.

You’re free to comment on how many posts I contribute, but it’s not against Lemmy’s rules. In fact, Lemmy thrives on post contributions because they help grow community conversations. Thanks for your interest!

Good for you! Again though, you don’t need to feel bad about not posting as much as I do—it’s not a competition.

Lemmy thrives on high-quality post contributions.

Although I’m happy Lemmy got rid of public karma counts, it would be nice if it had a non-public karma floor after which the account would be automatically banned for manual review or at least an icon showing that the account doesn’t contribute in a positive manner.

That’d be useful. Way to troll, GPS. It’d be great if I could be paid to be on Lemmy. Must be nice.

Lemmy thrives on high-quality post contributions.

Yep! Instead of following the person around, and pointing out unimportant facts, and being mad just because someone is not voting the way they do.

it would be nice if it had a non-public karma floor after which the account would be automatically banned for manual review or at least an icon showing that the account doesn’t contribute in a positive manner.

Plenty of people who make comments to me daily who would receive that icon.

And they comment just because they’re mad that I’m not voting for their presidential candidate. Isn’t that weird, that someone would be so upset by that that they’d comment to me almost daily?! And follow me around on Lemmy?

And all because I’m not voting for their presidential candidate or being baited into getting mad when they try to shitpost. But hey, people are strange, man…

Oh look, another party that doesn’t run candidates for any state or local offices but wants to run a candidate for the highest office in the land. An election they cannot hope to actually win, and the only actual effect their run will have is to increase the chance that a fascist could come to power in the USA. Not surprised that the Post would run a story with this headline, but I was surprised to see this honest passage.

The PSL, has raised more than $235,000 and promises voters a radically twisted vision for America, which includes seizing the 100 largest American corporations and turning them into public property and ending all US aid to Israel. The group does not release membership numbers but claims to have “an organized presence in over 100 cities and towns” in the United States.

The party is not affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America, the largest socialist organization in the United States which has elected multiple members to Congress and boasts more than 77,000 faithful.

OP, if you’re really a socialist as your name claims, perhaps you should support the DSA which actually walks the walk and has earned some respect as well as national level offices. Has the Green party ever won an election for Senate or the House in DC? What Senate or House candidates are they running this November?

I have supported the DSA. What in my post history makes you think I haven’t?

Has the Green party ever won an election for Senate or the House in DC?

The Green Party has fielded candidates for both the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives in various elections over the years, but none have won a seat in Congress.

Green Party candidates have occasionally garnered significant attention and votes, but they have not been successful in winning federal office due to the challenges third parties face in the U.S. political system, including limited visibility, funding, and the dominance of the two major parties.

They have had some local successes in other parts of the country, such as winning seats in local government or state legislatures. Californians have elected 55 of the 226 office-holding Greens nationwide. Other states with high numbers of Green elected officials include Pennsylvania (31), Wisconsin (23), Massachusetts (18) and Maine (17). Maine has the highest per capita number of Green elected officials in the country and the largest Green registration percentage with more than 29,273 Greens comprising 2.95% of the electorate as of November 2006.[68] Madison, Wisconsin is the city with the most Green elected officials (8), followed by Portland, Maine (7).

And I’m hoping they win more in the future!
