It also means that his base - about 1/3rd of the proof - will never abandon him.
That sounds right. There’s a chunk of the population that just have broken brains and souls. They’ll follow their king to the grave.
Which is unfortunately about the bar you need for authoritarianism. 1/3 of the people to actively support you and 1/3 of the people to do nothing and you’re there.
