The Capytistas, a secretive group claiming more than $1.2 million in backing, started with Elon Musk and Tesla’s board. Members argue that those who buy political power deserve the scrutiny they’ll impose.
Short sighted goals by people who don’t understand billionaires. What do they plan to accomplish with this? A billionaire could pay off someone’s $500,000 mortgage, their $30,000 car, pay off $50,000, give them $100,000 in cash and forget about it the next day. That’s $680,000 in a single day which would only be 0.06% of their wealth. Dox them all you want. They will alight about it when they exchange stories.
This is actually why I think we should bring back the old tradition of pieing corrupt politicians and public figures. The humiliation is only half of the message. The other half of the message is “this could have been a weapon, and you only continue to live because I chose a pie instead. Your security needs to win every time, but we only need to touch you once.”
We’ve basically already brought it back with milkshaking, but a milkshake is much less conspicuous (and cheaper, unless you’re literally just doing whip in a pie tin).
Like the ex CEO of United Healthcare Brian Thompson?
Hate the break it to the keyboard warriors on here but if people out there wanted to do things like that then it would have already been done. How many big offenders in the Epstein files have been hunted down and shown how vulnerable they are?
What the fuck do you think simping for billionaires will get you?
This is class warfare. You will not be thanked or rewarded for what you are doing. They expect you to fall in line. If you actually care about your fellow humans and citizens, disabuse them of that notion.

They could, but they won’t, and that’s part of the problem.
If billionaires walked around clearing people’s mortgages and paying for everyone’s dinner, they’d be less hated. They’d still be a problem, but they could buy popularity.
But they don’t. Because they’re assholes.
Maybe this will scare some of them into changing the behavior. Maybe it will get some of them killed.
Maybe scaring people into change is something that will happen but I don’t think it will. Billionaires are going to feel a little uncomfortable but it’s not the first or last time their information will be leaked.
I don’t especially want to live in a world full of stochastic terror, but if we’re going to have some I’d prefer billionaires were on the receiving end sometimes.
I always figured it was a reference to the “birds work for the government” joke. That, or because birds tend to perch up on traffic lights and watch the traffic passing below. Or something about safety in numbers, because Flock’s biggest selling point is that after they hit a certain number of strategically placed cameras, avoiding them becomes nearly impossible.
Well I didn’t mean to come across that way. I thought I could have a civil conversation with adults even if people didn’t agree with me.
What I meant was this isn’t some kind of “gotcha” moment that everyone here seems to think it is. When did this doxxing happen? What’s come of it so far?
Haha good one. You got me. I really thought you were able to have a conversation about viewpoints you don’t agree with. I didn’t take you to be like the people you despise. I get it now though.
they can, the oligarch always used to push people away. forcing other people to do their bidding. by doxxing them it makes them feel vulnerable, annoyed or at very least hassled by it. thats the point.
What does this mean though, are you suggesting a billionaire could just bribe someone to not doxx them?
Society is collapsing and the planet is dying because of these fuckheads. Who cares about the fucking mortgage when it’s looking like Mad Max in 20 years.
My point was that this isn’t something money can’t fix. Everyone is attacking me on here acting like there is some big movement to wipe out billionaires and I’m the ops because I said it’s not significant like the daydreamers think it is.
Okay, but what is real inconvenience for a billionaire? Some gossip? They can handle it. Does not change the system. A large-scale successful strike of their workers could hurt them more. Maybe juicy doxxing can nudge to workers turning against their billionaires?
The biggest difference between you and them is the lack of friction in everyday matters.
Constant slowdowns and difficulties and subtle loss of security has much more emotional effect on the very rich than you might expect, including oligarchs.
How about this:
The difference in friction is effect, not cause.
The cause is different embedding in the social structure: I can’t even command my dog while billionaires can command thousands of people at the wink of their finger. It’s not only money. It’s ownership (and the system which allows such ownership), connections (they can meet presidents for dinner - I can’t), influence. That’s what makes them rich and reduces friction.
Embarrassment is no serious friction if you have 1000 obedient lawyers plus major media outlets and social media in your own hands or the hands of your partners in crime. Yes - it can make them scared and invest more into police and surveillance.
All their workers on strike, breaking the chain of exploitation - even if only for a few days - that’s friction.
We need long-term structural change. Not volatile emotions.
We need to organize.
Doxxing combined with quality investigative journalism could help the rest of the world getting aware of such social structure.

Remind them that we can burn their house down with them inside or shoot them in the face. They’re just sacks of meat like anyone else.
I feel like the implication here is obvious so I’m not sure what’s confusing to you about it.

ooh this needs to be a flag

You all remember that “you are Jeff bezos” game, I hope: https://direkris.itch.io/you-are-jeff-bezos

It just takes one industrious plumber.

You sound like you’re jumping on a grenade for billionaires.
Palantir, Flock, etc. For us, and here’s you mooing about letting billionaires have their privacy and space.
Ya, we’re just gonna go ahead and sweep aside your nonsense.
Someone pointed out that “flock” is named as such because its founders think of us as sheep. Imagine simping for those guys.
Edit: not you but the guy above you

I apologize for any failure to communicate on my part, and want to make amends:
Which part of “sweep aside your nonsense” are you having difficulty grasping?

Nice try, Musk.
I’m with you. All this is doing, is sending them a warning. They’ll bump up their security & all this posting would be rendered useless.
Luigi Mangioni didn’t send out warning posts.
The best way to attack a billionaire is to inconvenience them
