At least my generation is mostly about us talking about Birthers / Q / Boogaloos / Manosphere bullshitters in our families (even otherwise reasonable people who have drunk the Kool-Aid), and suddenly I come across someone who is somehow completely ignorant of what is at play or what is at stake here.
