Summary

Rep. Rich McCormick (R-GA) faced backlash at a town hall in Roswell, Georgia, over his support for Elon Musk and deep federal budget cuts.

Constituents jeered and booed as McCormick defended layoffs at the CDC, arguing AI makes some jobs redundant.

Attendees criticized the cuts as rushed and extreme, chanting “shame” and accusing him of harming local communities.

The heated event echoed past voter outrage at town halls, with some Republicans avoiding similar meetings after Trump’s first term began in 2017.

So I wonder how many of these angry voters were Republicans.

Because it’s clear that absolutely nothing will change while R voters continue to cheer Trump on.

    BUT ALSO:

I love that they quoted this bit. Of course this motherfucker is stupid enough to say AI can replace CDC jobs; he doesn’t even know the meaning of the words he’s using. Though duplicitous is a great word for Republicans to learn, since it describes every last fucking one.

McCormick — who recently made headlines when he suggested that children taking part in school lunch programs “sponge off the government” — argued that “a lot of the work” done by probationary employees at the CDC “is duplicitous with AI.”

It’s like they all had anemia and forget that Trump was running the country into the he ground pre-COVID. But COVID gave them all something to “own the libs” while millions of them claimed their Darwin Award. Not sure how any of them could truly believe he was going to do better for them this time around, when this time they even released their game plan ( Project 2025) before the election.
